1/4/07 - Production for TITAN is complete, with final mixing and mastering remaining. The website will be undergoing some revamping in preparation for the album release. Twin Cities Electropunk Volume III is out now. Go download it, or find one of the bands on it and ask for a copy. The CD release show for the compilation went over very well, and a few TITAN demos we leaked out at the venue. Reviews are just now starting to come out. One review at Perfect Porridge, a news and review site, included The Eighth in regards to "assertive tracks worth mentioning", and called "Bruise" an "electro-zombie tale", then adding that it will also be on the upcoming album. In other news, "Ghost" is currently #28 in the Industrial charts on GarageBand, earning itself "Track of the Day" on October 31st (note the humour there), as well as "Best Guitars" December 4th, "Best Production" November 13th, and "Most Original" November 13th. "Typecast", after all this time, is still hanging in the charts at #29, having topped out at #22 on October 29th. Also, some things to expect in the next couple months include further line-up changes/additions and the stuff you've really been waiting for, like the album itself and live performance. We're going to be scaling down some of the live elements just so that you, the patient patron, can get a taste of what's to come. Shawn has been writing new material, possibly for the next album or an EP, and is also been considering presenting some of the songs in an acoustic or alternative format, inspired by Todd Millenacker's "Out of Element" showcase series.
